VTT - Tribolube

Tribolube is an anti-friction liquid that offers maximum protection against wear for petrol and diesel engines as well as for transmissions.
Tribolube is added to engines during oil changes in a ratio of 1:40 (125 ml of Tribolube to 5 litres of oil). As the protective layer lasts for at least 50,000 kilometres, Tribolube does not need to be re-added at every oil change.
When added, Tribolube spreads evenly over the friction areas of all the moving and non-moving parts of the engine, such as bearings and cylinder running surfaces, forming an anti-friction coating.
Ideally, the high temperatures that predominate in engines and transmissions as well as the high loads on the components result in localised surface reactions. As a result, roughness, grooves and surface defects are permanently smoothed. At an average temperature resistance of 450 °C and a short-term temperature resistance of up to 700 °C, engine tests show that, after application of this microcoating, the surface quality in the engine is 60 - 80% higher than before treatment with Tribolube. The surface hardness and therefore the wear resistance are also dramatically improved.
The honeycomb structure of Tribolube, which enables it to retain even the most minute oil droplets, makes it possible to achieve a high coating strength even after the first treatment. Its high penetration capacity and its ability to fill micropores, microcapillaries and microcracks reduces the porosity of the substrate material and slows down its ageing. As result, the catalytic effect of the metals on the lubricant is reduced, which in turn avoids their destruction and polymerisation.
Coating with Tribolube removes the gases from micropores and microcracks. It binds absorbed atomic water and oxygen, which help to make metal surfaces brittle and lead to tribochemical reactions. The surface is sealed and a blocking layer is formed.
This barely measurable protective layer, which dramatically reduces wear as well as fuel and oil consumption, neither influences the properties of the oil nor changes the tolerance ranges.
Furthermore, the lifetime, output and emergency running properties of the engine are extremely improved. As the fluoro-organic compounds of Tribolube clean the treated surfaces on an atomic level, the use of flushing oils prior to an oil change is no longer required.
It has been proven that Tribolube has no negative effects on the engine or the transmission and is especially cost-effective due to its long functional life.
